Kim Harju Vermillion, MA, is a catalyst for growth, clarity, and connection—helping individuals and organizations uncover purpose, align strategy, and bring meaningful ideas to life. Former COO of a 60-person national advertising agency, Kim has more than 25 years of experience that spans market research, organizational strategy, process improvement, executive facilitation, team building and development, and high-level communications. She has consulted with nonprofit, corporate, federal contracting, franchise, and small business organizations across the United States.

Professionally trained through the Professional Christian Coaching Institute, an ICF-accredited coaching program, Kim combines strategic insight with compassionate guidance to help individuals and teams move from vision to action with creativity, clarity, and measurable impact.

Leading with the Gallup CliftonStrengths® theme of relationship-building, Kim’s top strengths—including Positivity, Learner, Arranger, Responsibility, and Maximizer—reflect her ability to inspire others, cultivate potential, and bring order and momentum to complex challenges. She is especially passionate about helping people and teams discover connections, clarify possibilities, and pursue excellence with purpose and authenticity.

Throughout her career, Kim has led cross-functional initiatives that strengthened organizational effectiveness, elevated research-driven storytelling, and aligned teams around bold possibilities. In her most recent senior executive position, she oversaw organizational workflow strategy and business processes designed to amplify innovation, collaboration, and client impact.

Kim holds a Bachelor of Arts with high honors from the University of Florida and a Master of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin. A lifelong learner, mentor, facilitator, coach, women’s ministry teacher, and author, she brings both intellectual curiosity and practical wisdom to every engagement.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Kim is a world traveler, road-trip enthusiast, and lover of live performance and the arts. Kim considers her greatest joy to be her family. She is the grateful mother of a loving son and daughter-in-law and shares her home with a spirited crew of rescue pets—where laughter, second chances, and good stories are always welcome.

Storied Outfitters, LLC, was staked out in December 2025, the culmination of three years of intensive exploration and Kim's transformation from advertising executive to author, coach, and consultant. 

It was during this transition that she was inspired to pen: "Many of us live passively, wearily, on merry-go-rounds of habits and routine curated from the things we already know and understand, skillsets mastered long ago. We ignore the vast richness of the unseen depths of our inner worlds and our connections to the world beyond us despite the occasional ache that whispers there’s got to be more. 

This journey is meant to be unique to you, as you are individually created and gifted. And what you are meant to discover is likely to be just as pleasantly surprising to you as these recounted tales were for me. First, in that you may not have realized you were even looking for something. And further, in that what you discover may not resemble anything you expected.
